Mattress Comparison Shopping

There is one main goal with the Mattress Comparison Charts…find you the best price.  If you saw something you liked in a store, you can probably find a cheaper price online.

Retail mattress stores often make it difficult to comparison shop mattresses. Each retailer will have a different name for the same (or almost the same) product. Here are some tables to help compare brands and find the best price.

Please note the following before using the comparison charts:

  • It’s possible that some of the models aren’t exact comparisons. Companies sometimes put some kind of small “exclusive feature” in their mattress like an anti-microbial cover, or they change a layer of foam slightly. These should be considered “comparable models,” not necessarily exact.
  • Make sure you’re comparing the prices for the same size and whether or not a boxspring is included.
  • The price of the mattress shouldn’t necessarily be your only concern. Consider exchange/return policies, delivery fees, and delivery time in your decision.

This is only a few of the biggest retailers. There may be some other options, but these are the sites that I have found to be the most competitive.

  5. We purchased a bed from MattressFirm in July, 2009 and we have LOVED it. The only problem… it’s a queen and we’ve decided we need a king! Could you advise which current mattress from the Beautyrest line would be most comparable. And if possible, where we could a good price. It’s a Beautyrest Medalist, Parr Plush, 13″, 980 coil count, memory foam. It appears to me Thanks!

Any recommendations? Note, she can use a remote as long as it is simple.

  21. I just bought a Puffy Mattress. I’ve had it for about a week. It’s great but it sleeps a little warm and a little firm. I’m looking at the Tuft and Needle relaxed firm. I also don’t have my original bed so I’ll need advice on how to time the delivery of the Tuft and Needle so I can send the Puffy back at the same time or around the same time. Maybe I need more time with the Puffy as well, this is my first memory foam mattress.

  22. At a local furniture store, I found a Sealy Performance mattress called “Glenbrook Lane”. It’s a 14″ cushion firm euro pillow top. Does this have an equivalent? Thank you.
