What Does the Viscosoft Select High Density Mattress Topper Feel Like?

I took the Viscosoft Select High Density mattress topper home and tried it out for myself. The foam felt plush, yet supportive at the same time, which kept me elevated on top of the surface, while still getting cushioned by the foams all around my body. I definitely noticed that the longer I laid on the surface, the further I sank into the foam. So the foam is definitely slow responding and gives to the weight of your body as time passes.

I tested this topper out on a firm mattress, about an 8 out of 10 on our firmness scale, and by adding the topper, I’d say the firmness is now at about a 6.5 out of 10, making it a good bit softer than it was before. I’d say if you experience lower back pain or neck pain, the high-density foam will provide you great relief in those areas. The foam will contour to your body’s curves and make you feel relaxed, without giving an engulfing sensation.

If your body weight is less than 130 pounds, especially if you’re a side sleeper, this may not be the best mattress topper for you because we did notice slight pressure build up in the shoulders. And if you sleep on your stomach, this topper will still be too soft for your sleeping position, since stomach sleepers require a firm sleeping surface that elevates their hips. Still, Viscosoft also offers this topper in charcoal and lavender infused options, which come with their own additional features.
