While it certainly comes with a higher price tag than some other brands, we think the bed is worth every penny given its premium features. When you order the Saatva Solaire Mattress, you qualify for free premium white-glove delivery and setup if you live within the contiguous 48 states. If you live in Alaska or Hawaii, you have the option to arrange a delivery through a freight forwarder in Seattle or California.
Unlike many other mattresses on the market today, the Saatva Solaire doesn’t come vacuum-packed as a bed-in-a-box. After placing your order, you will be able to schedule a delivery for a time that is most convenient for you. The day before your mattress is due to be delivered, you will receive a call with a four-hour time window to expect your mattress. If you need to cancel, you will not be charged.
The premium white-glove delivery means the delivery drivers will hand-deliver your new mattress to your room of choice, set it up, and remove and dispose of your old mattress for no cost at all.
In the event that you are not home when the delivery drivers arrive, they will wait 20 minutes as a courtesy. If you miss the delivery window completely, you can call and reschedule your delivery at no cost. You can also cancel the order for a full refund, but cancelling may incur a $99 transportation cost.
Saatva returns are hassle-free. If you are unhappy with your mattress during your 180-night trial period, you can return it at no cost except a $99 labor and gas fee. Returned mattresses are never resold and are instead donated to veterans’ shelters or offered to employees and associates within the Saatva network.
The Saatva Solaire Mattress comes with a 25-year warranty. For the first 5 years of ownership, parts are fully covered, while labor is covered for the first 15 years. Between years 6 and 10, you will be responsible for 50 percent of the cost of parts and associated shipping, and between years 11 and 15, you must cover 75 percent of the costs for parts and shipping.
From years 16 to 20, you are responsible for paying labor, transportation, and installation costs, as well as 80 percent of parts cost. From years 21 to 26, you must pay for labor, transportation, and installation costs, and 90 percent of parts cost.
In addition to the 25-year warranty, Saatva also offers a Fairness Replacement Plan. With this option, between years 6 and 10 of your mattress ownership, you can replace your mattress for 50 percent of the original price you paid. From years 11 to 25, Saatva will replace your mattress for 75 percent of its original price.
It takes time to know if a mattress is truly right for you. When you order a Saatva mattress, you have a 180-night home sleep trial to get a true feel for the product. If at any time during that 180-night period you are not satisfied with your mattress, Saatva will accept a full return, no questions asked. All you need to do is pay the $99 labor and gas fee.
Saatva also aims to make its mattresses accessible to as many people as possible. That is why they offer financing through Klarna. When checking out, customers can choose the financing option, which will take them to a separate platform that will conduct a soft credit check. Once the credit check is approved, customers can set up a payment plan and pay off the new mattress in installments rather than all at once.
Both the Purple Hybrid and the Saatva Solaire offer high-tech, relatively unusual sleep solutions to help consumers achieve a higher-quality slumber. Purple’s classic Smart Comfort Grid makes up the bed’s top comfort layer, while the rest of the construction is made of polyfoam and pocketed coils. The Purple Hybrid comes vacuum-packed and shipped to your doorstep, whereas the Saatva Solaire is hand-delivered to consumers. And though the Purple Hybrid doesn’t boast adjustable firmness like the Saatva Solaire, it should be a great fit for stomach and back sleepers. Keep in mind, though, it may be a little too firm for sensitive side sleepers.

If you’re looking to spend a lot less dough on a cooling mattress, the Sweetnight Breeze could be a great lower-cost addition to your bedroom. The bed’s foam is infused with a cooling gel material that keeps body temperature low. Even the cotton cover that encases the mattress felt cool when we laid our hands on it in our mattress testing lab.
And again, the Sweetnight Breeze won’t break the bank. The largest version of this mattress (the 12″ tall King size) only costs $698 before discounts. That massive drop in price between the Solaire and the Breeze comes with less customizability. Our team also has some concerns about edge support and motion transfer. Still, it’s a great cooling mattress for anyone who enjoys an all-foam bed.

Though Saatva and Avocado are both high-quality mattress brands with plenty of positive online reviews, Avocado beds are designed and marketed specifically around a theme of environmental sustainability. The Avocado Green mattress is made with organic cotton and latex, making it a naturally cool mattress that achieves high marks in motion isolation.

What flame retardants do Saatva mattresses use?
The Saatva Classic, Loom & Leaf, Saatva HD, and Saatva Youth mattresses use a natural, plant-based thistle flame retardant made of wood pulp bonded with a small amount of polyester. The Solaire uses Paladin, which is composed of flame retardant rayon fibers blended with polyester fibers.
Does the Solaire make noise?
It is normal to hear a slight sound when you increase or decrease the firmness of the mattress. But you will only hear this sound while changing the comfort level; the system will never engage on its own.
