The WinkBed Plus and the Titan Plus are both hybrid beds designed for heavyweight sleepers. Read on to learn more about each of these mattresses, plus their pros and cons.
The WinkBed Plus and Titan Plus are firm and cooling hybrids made for heavyweight sleepers. That said, the WinkBed is a bit firmer and more supportive for stomach sleepers. On the other hand, the Titan Plus is slightly more responsive, and it’s more affordable too.

We’ve touched on the similarities and differences between these two hybrid beds. Now, let’s go into more detail about how they actually feel.
At Mattress Nerd, we measure firmness on a simple scale of 1–10, where a 1 is softer than air and a 10 is firmer than bricks. So, keeping this scale in mind, we found that the WinkBed Plus comes in at an 8/10. In other words, this mattress has a very firm feel that’s best for heavyweight and stomach sleepers.
Moving on to the Titan Plus, this bed actually has two firmness options, which measure in at a 6/10 and a 7/10. While still firm, the Titan Plus is definitely closer to the average mattress’s firmness than the WinkBed Plus’s. This firmness level is also more friendly toward side sleepers and lightweight sleepers.
Both the WinkBed Plus and the Titan Plus have the supportiveness you’d expect from a firm hybrid bed. Plus, they’re both super breathable. However, the WinkBed Plus is a bit sinking and softer at its top layers, meaning you’ll get more cushioning and cradling on this mattress. The Titan Plus, on the other hand, has a more solid and responsive feel, despite being a bit softer overall.
In general, side sleepers will find that both the WinkBed Plus and the Titan Plus offer similar pressure relief and performance, best for heavier side sleepers. That said, the WinkBed Plus’s firmer feel provides better support for stomach sleepers of all sizes and heavyweight back sleepers. Lastly, the Titan Plus is a bit more responsive than the WinkBed Plus, while the WinkBed Plus offers more temperature control.
WinkBed Plus Performance By Body Type & Sleeping Position:
Body Type: | BACK SLEEPERS | STOMACH SLEEPERS | SIDE SLEEPERS |
Lightweight (< 130 lbs): | 4 | 5 | 3 |
Average-weight (130–230 lbs): | 5 | 5 | 4 |
Heavyweight (> 230 lbs): | 5 | 5 | 5 |
Titan Plus Performance By Body Type & Sleeping Position:
Body Type: | BACK SLEEPERS | STOMACH SLEEPERS | SIDE SLEEPERS |
Lightweight (< 130 lbs): | 4 | 4 | 3 |
Average-weight (130–230 lbs): | 5 | 4 | 4 |
Heavyweight (> 230 lbs): | 4 | 4 | 5 |
Since the WinkBed Plus and the Titan Plus are mattresses with similar thicknesses and levels of support, they also have a similar feel for back sleepers and side sleepers. However, it’s important to note that the Titan Plus (at both of its firmness levels) is softer than the WinkBed Plus, making the WinkBed the more solid choice for stomach sleepers.
Moving on, heavyweight sleepers tend to need more firmness and support than lighter sleepers. With this in mind, the WinkBed Plus is a better fit for heavyweight stomach sleepers and back sleepers. Still, heavyweight side sleepers don’t need as much firmness, so both beds perform equally well here.
Unlike heavyweight sleepers, lightweight sleepers usually sleep better on softer, more pressure-relieving beds. With the WinkBed Plus and the Titan Plus mattress, lightweight side sleepers and back sleepers will both benefit from a softer bed; however, the WinkBed’s cushioned but firm feel will be ideal for lightweight stomach sleepers.
The WinkBed Plus and the Titan Plus are both hybrid mattresses designed for heavyweight sleepers, but the WinkBed Plus measures in at 13.5”, whereas the Titan Plus is 13”. Also, while these beds both have a base system of supportive coils, the WinkBed Plus has an extra layer of cooling latex as well.

The WinkBed Plus and the Titan Plus both feature cooling mattress covers, with the WinkBed Plus’s being made of TENCEL, a eucalyptus-based, cooling fabric, and the Titan Plus’s being made of gel-infused memory foam.
Getting into the comfort layers of these two beds, the WinkBed Plus features a Euro-pillow top made from gel-infused cooling foam, while the Titan Plus has a layer of contouring memory foam that reduces pressure on the hips and shoulders.
Next, getting into the base layers of these mattresses, the WinkBed Plus has a layer of responsive and cooling latex foam, while the Titan Plus has a layer of bouncy transition foam that keeps sleepers elevated. Finally, both of these hybrid beds include a layer of individually-wrapped pocketed coils above high-density foam base.

The WinkBed Plus and the Titan Plus both include layers of cooling foam and a breathable base layer of pocketed coils. However, with its cooling latex, the WinkBed comes out slightly ahead when it comes to temperature control.
This one’s a draw. Since the WinkBed Plus and the Titan Plus are both bouncy and solid beds, neither of them offers anything exceptional in the way of motion isolation. So, if you’re a super light sleeper looking to share your next mattress with a partner, these hybrid mattresses may not be for you.
If your bed has good edge support, you can sit on its edge without it warping. This feature can be super important for seniors, sleepers with mobility concerns, or anyone who likes to sleep on the perimeter of their bed. In this case, the thicker WinkBed Plus comes out ahead, but both of these sturdy, hybrid mattresses are excellent choices.
Getting quality pressure relief is key for a quality night’s sleep, especially for side sleepers. In this case, the WinkBed Plus’s softer top layers give it a slightly more pressure-relieving feel, but, for side sleepers, this difference is negligible between the Winkbed and Titan.
If you’re looking for pain relief, the right mattress for you will depend on your sleeping preferences and body type. With that in mind, the WinkBed Plus is generally more supportive for heavyweight sleepers over 230 lbs.
Thicker, hybrid mattresses are generally known for their durability, usually lasting well past the standard mattress lifespan of about seven years. This is true for both the WinkBed Plus and the Titan Plus; however, the WinkBed is half an inch thicker and slightly more durable. And, as a bonus, it comes with a Lifetime warranty.
With the Winkbed Plus, you’ll get free shipping with your bed in the contiguous United States, and it’ll arrive at your doorstep as a bed-in-a-box mattress within 10 days. After you’ve unpackaged your WinkBed, you’ll be entitled to a 120-night sleep trial, at any point during which you can return your bed for a full refund. However, WinkBeds does ask that you wait a month to fully settle in with your mattress. Finally, this bed comes with a Limited Lifetime warranty that protects against any defects or indentations deeper than 1.5”, but it does not cover shipping fees for any returns.
Next up, the Titan Plus also comes with free shipping to anywhere in the contiguous United States, while shipping costs start at $125 for sleepers in Alaska and Hawaii. The Titan Plus has a 120-night sleep trial as well, and it comes with a 10-year warranty that protects against any defects or indentations deeper than 1”.
The WinkBed Plus and the Titan Plus are both hybrid mattresses designed for sleepers over 230 lbs; however, the WinkBed is generally better for heavyweight sleepers, while the Titan Plus is more affordable and comes with multiple firmness options. Next, although the WinkBed Plus is cooler than the Titan Plus, neither bed is ideal for couples.
No, you can’t. While WinkBeds does have some flippable mattresses, the WinkBed Plus is not one of these beds. In fact, the company also advises against flipping your Winkbed Plus because doing so can cause damage to the mattress and potentially void your warranty as well.
No. Since the Titan Plus is a bed-in-a-box mattress, meaning that you’ll need to give it time to fully inflate after you’ve unpackaged it. Brooklyn Bedding states that you should wait at least three to five hours before sleeping on your bed, while the full process can take several days.
This depends on the size you order, but a Queen sized WinkBed Plus mattress weighs 135 lbs. Overall, the WinkBed Plus is a heavier mattress since it measures in at 13.5” and includes layers of supportive foam, a layer of cooling latex, and pocketed coils at its base.
