Who Should Choose the DreamCloud Premier Mattress?

  • Back sleepers. The DreamCloud Premier is medium-firm and will help align your spine as you sleep, especially for lightweight to average-weight folks.
  • Average-weight side sleepers. If you’re average-weight (130-230 lbs) and sleep on your side, the pressure relief and alignment of the Premier should work well for you.
  • Hot sleepers. The DreamCloud Premier is a hybrid mattress, which allows more airflow than an all-foam mattress and tends to sleep much cooler.

Who Should Choose the WinkBed Mattress?

  • Hot sleepers. If you overheat while you sleep, the WinkBed’s gel-infused foam and innerspring coils are designed to keep this mattress (and you) cool.
  • Lightweight sleepers. Lightweight and average-weight back sleepers will probably be most comfortable.
  • Combination sleepers. The WinkBed is highly responsive and allows you to easily move between sleeping positions during the night.

DreamCloud Premier vs. WinkBed: Top Similarities

  • Breathable and cool. Both of these hybrid mattresses keep their cool. That’s thanks to a breathable mattress cover, gel-infused foam, and innerspring coils.
  • Good for combination sleepers. Like to switch up your sleeping position throughout the night? Each of these mattresses provides a supportive yet responsive surface to accommodate combination sleepers.
  • Poor motion isolation. Neither mattress does a great job of isolating motion, which you’ll notice quickly if you’re a light sleeper who shares the bed with a restless partner.

DreamCloud Premier vs. WinkBed: Top Differences

  • The DreamCloud has a deeper foam top. The WinkBed’s pillow top is only 2” thick compared to the DreamCloud’s 5” of foam layers.
  • The DreamCloud features a memory foam layer. Although the DreamCloud is a hybrid mattress, the memory foam layer provides a supportive sink that’s typically associated with memory foam mattresses.
  • The WinkBed has two additional firmness options. While the WinkBed is available in four firmness options: Softer, Luxury Firm, and Firmer, the DreamCloud Premier is only available in one: a medium-firm feel.

DreamCloud Premier vs. WinkBed: Firmness & Feel Differences

While the DreamCloud Premier comes in only one level of firmness (considered medium-firm), you can choose from four firmness options with the WinkBed.

What’s the Firmness Of the DreamCloud Premier & WinkBed Mattresses?

The DreamCloud Premier is rated at 6.5/10 for firmness. This means it’s considered a medium-firm mattress.

The WinkBed mattress has four different firmness options (rated based on our firmness scale):

  • Softer (4/10)
  • Luxury Firm (6/10)
  • Firmer (7.5/10)
  • Plus (8/10)

The WinkBed Plus is created for heavyweight sleepers. This option provides more support through a firmer mattress.

What Do the DreamCloud Premier & WinkBed Mattresses Feel Like?

The plush foam top of the DreamCloud Premier offers a very cushy feel. However, the foam and coils bounce back, creating a balance between a supportive and cloud-like feel.

The WinkBed is more firm, but still responsive thanks to the foam layers. It’s also nice and cool thanks to temperature-regulating features such as HyperSoft Foam.

What’s It Like to Sleep On the DreamCloud Premier & WinkBed Mattresses?

Since the DreamCloud Premier has a deep foam topper, it feels soft and plush on your body initially. The coils underneath, however, provide extra support to help the Premier reach that 6.5/10 rating.

The WinkBed has the perfect balance of cushioning and support for back and stomach sleepers but may be too firm for side sleepers.

DreamCloud Premier vs. WinkBed Mattress Performance Ratings & Differences

Temperature

The DreamCloud receives a 3 and the WinkBed receives a 5 for temperature regulation. While the DreamCloud doesn’t have any features that specifically target cooling, it is a hybrid mattress with coils that allow for more airflow. The WinkBed regulates temperature via gel-infused foam that resists absorbing heat plus innerspring coils that help make the mattress more breathable.

Motion Transfer

The DreamCloud receives a 3 and the WinkBed receives a 2.5. The DreamCloud Premier has fairly average motion isolation. It’s not advanced or special but should work fine for the typical couple. The WinkBed has a significant amount of motion transfer across the mattress, meaning it won’t be the best fit for light sleepers who share the bed.

Edge Support

The DreamCloud receives a 4.5 and the WinkBed receives a 5. The DreamCloud Premier has a sturdy, solid edge that you can easily sit or sleep on without falling off. The WinkBed also has good edge support thanks to the high-density foam (which prevents sagging) and coils with extra reinforcement around the edge of the mattress.

Pressure Relief

The DreamCloud receives a 4 and the WinkBed receives a 3. The DreamCloud provides good support for multiple body types and sleeping positions, while the firm WinkBed will help keep your hips aligned.

Durability

The DreamCloud receives a 4.5 and the WinkBed receives a 5. The DreamCloud Premier should last 8 or 9 years with its base of steel coils. The WinkBed should last about 7 years but could be closer to a decade.
