The Beautyrest Harmony Lux Hybrid is a firm mattress. When we tested the Beautyrest Harmony Lux Hybrid, we thought it had a very classic hotel-bed feel. We rated it at 7 on a scale from 1 to 10, with 1 being super soft and 10 being extremely firm.
The way you feel the firmness changes depending on your size, so for lightweight sleepers, who are under 130 pounds, it will feel a little firmer. Back Sleepers
Back sleepers are the easiest position to please—they could be happy sleeping on a plank of wood! Just kidding, but it really doesn’t take much to make a bed work for sleeping on your back. All you need for the best mattress for back sleepers is to be sure your spinal alignment is maintained and that there’s little pressure build up.

Is the Beautyrest Harmony Lux Hybrid Cooling?
Being a hybrid bed, this mattress sleeps cooler because there is more room for airflow between the coils. But it’s even cooler thanks to gel memory foam and even a layer of foam with diamond particles embedded in it, which are supposed to pull heat away from your body. With the Beautyrest Harmony Lux Hybrid, you also have the option to add on a $300 or $500 cooling upgrade, which are versions of the bed with medium and ultra plush feels, respectively, and enhanced cooling features.
Edge Support
The edge support, which is the ability of the perimeter of the bed to bear weight, is really solid on the Beautyrest Harmony Lux Hybrid. It held up our testers nicely when they sat or lay along the edge of the bed, so they didn’t slip off.
Responsiveness
Earning a 4.5/5 for ease of movement, this bed is pretty responsive. You should be able to move around with ease on its bouncy surface without feeling as though you’re sinking into it.
Motion Isolation
The Beautyrest Harmony Lux Hybrid isolates motion decently well for a hybrid bed. We saw some motion transfer across the bed when we tested it, so you won’t feel like you’re experiencing a mini-earthquake every time your partner turns over or gets up in the night, but you might feel a little movement.
Noise
Innerspring coils have a rep for being creaky, but this bed’s comfort layers absorb and muffle any noise, so you can sleep sound throughout the night.
Pain Relief
Back pain is no fun to deal with, so it’s important to make sure your mattress is helping prevent it, not make it worse. If you deal with back pain, it’s important to have a mattress that is supportive, maintains your spinal alignment, and relieves pressure.
The Beautyrest Harmony Lux Hybrid has really great spinal alignment and is supportive. The pressure relief is pretty good, but not the best we’ve ever seen. If you’re a lightweight side sleeper, you might need something with a little more cushioning in the comfort layers, but this should be a good bed overall to help with back pain for most sleepers.

ContourFit Design Construction: The top layer of this mattress is Beautyrest’s signature ContourFit Design construction, which is a surface that adapts to your body and relieves pressure. The cover over this layer is made with SEAQUAL, a sustainable fabric made with upcycled marine plastic.
Beautyrest Gel Memory Foam: This layer is 1” of gel-infused memory foam. The gel prevents heat from being trapped in the foam, creating a cooler sleep environment.

Beautyrest ships for free within the contiguous United States but currently does not ship to Hawaii or Alaska. The brand offers complimentary white glove delivery, meaning that they will send a delivery team to set up your new mattress and remove your old mattress and any packaging.
After you order, Beautyrest will contact you to coordinate the date of your mattress delivery, to ensure that you’ll be home and available to let the delivery team in. Most mattresses ship within three to four weeks.
Warranty
